Dr. Ryan Torrie

Dr. Ryan Torrie is the owner and lead physician of Coulee Place, a brand new health centre located in Taber. The town has two clinics, Coulee Medical Clinic and the Taber Clinic, as well as the general hospital, Taber Health Centre.

In a small town with a population of 9,000, Dr. Torrie says it’s very important to have health services locally available to community members. It allows for accessibility and is easier for people to maintain their health and attend appointments.

“We are very blessed to have excellent healthcare in Taber. There are two two clinics and a hospital in the area with fantastic doctors and healthcare workers. For any community to remain vibrant and healthy, it needs to have these services readily available and accessible,” says Dr. Torrie.

With the three health centres, the community members have access to a 24/7 emergency room,  long-term patient active care, home-care options, x-rays, 3-D ultrasounds, radiology clinic, mental health therapist, general surgeons, general dental surgeons, podiatrist, cancer screenings, and so much more. Dr. Torrie says with these services easily available, people can attend appointments more regularly and may catch any health concerns at an earlier stage.
